Marketplaces reward whoever spends the most on ads. That buries the block-printer in Jaipur, the two-woman macramé studio in Goa, the small-batch skincare lab in Bengaluru — the labels that make Indian craft worth talking about.
ScoutLoft is the other way around. Humans find and vet every brand. You explore by budget, occasion, city and values. And when you’re ready to buy, we send you straight to the brand’s own store — they keep their margin, you get their best price. We never sit in the middle of the transaction.
Every submission is reviewed by hand against our brand policy: independence, craft, honesty of claims, and fulfilment you can rely on. Plenty of brands we look at don’t make it in.
Not from you, and not from the brands’ sales. Listing is free, and there is no commission — we don’t process orders, so there is nothing to take a cut of. The one thing brands can pay for is a sponsored placement, which always carries a “Sponsored” label and never changes search results, category ordering, or which brands our editors pick for an edit. How we fund the rest is still being worked out; when that changes, it will be written here.
